Founder and fearless captain of Submarine Playhouse, Arman built the company as a creative playground where the fantastical and the real collide — and everyone’s invited along for the ride. Since releasing his first comic in 2022, he’s powered the launch of 50+ titles through relentless storytelling, big swings, and sheer will — helping redefine what independent comic publishing can look like when passion leads the way.
With a deep love for fashion history, thrifted books, and visual storytelling, Anna brings a thoughtful, global perspective to Submarine Playhouse’s marketing vision. Having grown up skiing in the Italian Dolomites and riding horses whenever she could, she pairs curiosity with discipline — whether she’s exploring sociology, photography, or audience strategy. Today, she helps guide the marketing engine behind this New York-based independent publishing house.
A Midwesterner turned New Yorker, Ellie brings heart, hustle, and a little bit of twin-powered chaos to the team. A working actor in the city and lifelong comic fan — especially of TMNT — she’s thrilled to help shape the stories and community that make Submarine Playhouse feel like home.
Kay is a Central Florida-based artist, writer, and editor whose storytelling roots trace back to hand-drawn animations and DIY zines during her fine art studies. Since stepping into indie comics, she’s contributed to projects like the animated music video Soul for Hire and character design for Flawed. Drawn to horror, high fantasy, and the delightfully risqué, she’s currently developing Monstrous, an illustrated poetry and short story collection slated for 2027. When she’s not creating, she’s rock climbing with her fiancé or reading spicy books alongside her French bulldogs.
Whether she’s sewing, painting, knitting, or curled up with her cat and a good book, Kaitlyn lives and breathes creativity. At Submarine Playhouse, she channels that energy into building connections with our audience — crafting everything from playful TikToks to stylized photoshoots and behind-the-scenes comic visuals. If there’s a story to tell or a moment to capture, she’s ready to bring it to life.
